What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Baikas Bike Rentals offers a way to explore Mazatlán's scenic routes, with many enjoying the freedom to discover the city at their own pace. However, potential renters should be aware of inconsistent bike conditions and possible price differences from online listings. Some visitors have also experienced issues with bike maintenance and customer service responsiveness.
"We loved this activity and our guide allowed us to see what we wanted. The tour normally went through the historic part of town but we had already seen that so he asked us what we wanted to see/ do and took us there. The Segway’s worked great for us and our whole family picked up quickly. Thanks ‘Gus’ for an amazing time!"

"The pricing on the website does not accurately reflect the price in store. On the website the price is $200 pesos for half day rental. When we got to the store, the owner told us the price is actually $300 pesos for a half day rental. We asked if she would honour the price online. She said no. At this point we were a bit annoyed, but rented the bikes anyways. We also had to wait a while for them to add baskets to the bikes, as we were travelling with small bags. It doesn't seems as if they have many bikes with baskets, so keep that in mind. I am not sure if you can call and reserve them. Overall Mazatlan is a picturesque city. Biking is a great way to see all the monuments. Helmets and bike locks are included in the price."

"I went into their website one month ago before my trip and called the number in the website but no answer. I sent an email which was never responded. The rates in their website shows $15 for a day rental. I went on May 26 in person to rent two bikes after walking 30 minutes to get there. The lady at the counter told me there were new rates and it was $22 not $15. I showed her their website rates and she told me she couldn’t do anything. I tried to negotiate a better price with no result. One of the bikes my boyfriend had to fill up the tire with air and mines the brakes were not working."

Tailored advice for your travel style
👨👩👧 Families with Kids
Consider the pace of your ride to accommodate younger children. While guided tours can be informative, a family might prefer the flexibility of renting bikes independently to stop whenever and wherever the kids want. Always prioritize safety by ensuring everyone wears a helmet. [^helmetwithwhite_cross:]

Navigating Bike Rentals in Mazatlán
Beyond pricing and accessories, the condition of the rental bikes is a significant factor.
