- Not crowded – We visited in December and had plenty of space to ourselves
- All-inclusive amenities – Beach chairs, pool access, snorkeling, kayaking, biking, and activities are all included
- Fun extras – We enjoyed a tequila tasting with Kim, who was absolutely delightful
- Flexibility – You can still rent a golf cart for an hour or two to explore the rest of the island

Set Your Expectations:
This is a mid-range resort experience – comfortable and enjoyable, but not luxurious. The food and cocktails are standard all-inclusive fare (premium drinks cost extra). If you're looking for gourmet dining or craft cocktails, this isn't it. But for unlimited eating, drinking, and activities in a beautiful setting, it delivers exactly what it promises.

The Value:
At $90 per person for 9am-6pm access, we found it fair for a full day of relaxation with everything included. You get what you pay for – a nice, stress-free beach day.

Pro Tip: Buy your day pass directly from the hotel, NOT through Ultramar Ferry. They claim to offer a deal but actually charge more. Save yourself the money and book at the hotel entrance.

"We stayed at Hotel Mia Reef Isla Mujeres, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment we arrived, we felt completely safe and comfortable—the resort has such a welcoming and peaceful atmosphere. The staff went above and beyond for us. Everyone was incredibly friendly and attentive, always ready to help with anything we needed. A special shoutout to JC at the bar, who was amazing, so fun and always professional!
The food was wonderful, with a great variety for breakfast, lunch, and dinner every day. We visited in mid-October, and it was the perfect time to go! We know the resort is bird sanctuary, but there were hardly any birds around the time we went which made our stay even more relaxing.
There was always something fun to do—activities and entertainment every night—so we were never bored. Honestly, I couldn’t imagine staying anywhere else on the island. Mia Reef is paradise, and we can’t wait to come back! 🌴💙"
