Reviews Summary
Visitors find the Panteón Municipal Puebla to be a well-maintained historical site with impressive architecture, particularly its century-old mausoleums. While some areas may show signs of neglect, the cemetery offers a unique glimpse into local history and culture, especially during special events like Day of the Dead night tours. The legends associated with the site add to its mystique.
"Very sad situation."
FRANCISCO MAGANA
"In general, the pantheon is well maintained. Maintenance is sometimes excellent and other times neglected. I suppose it must be the responsibility of the current caretaker. They should at least make sure the fountains have clean water. What they did fix halfway, and it turned out worse, was the naming of the aisles. It doesn't correspond to the plan, and some aisles lack signage."
Juan Carlos Fernandez
"It's a shame to see the state of the water in this fountain and there are no trash cans in the corridor."

Beyond the grand mausoleums, the cemetery's layout and design reflect historical burial practices. Some sections might reveal older, simpler gravestones, contrasting with the elaborate family crypts. It's a place where architectural evolution is laid bare, offering a unique perspective on the city's development and its people.
It's important to note that due to capacity issues, new perpetual burial plots are no longer offered, reflecting the cemetery's historical significance and limited space. This adds to its character as a preserved historical site rather than an active, expanding burial ground.

Efforts to preserve its historical integrity are ongoing, with discussions about capacity and the cessation of perpetual plots indicating a focus on maintaining its heritage for future generations. This blend of historical preservation, community care, and evolving needs makes the Panteón Municipal Puebla a dynamic and significant landmark.
