What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Centro Ecológico de Sonora for its affordability, diverse animal collection, and educational focus, making it a great family outing. While the safari bus can have long waits and weekend crowds can be high, the overall experience is highly positive, with many looking forward to future visits, especially with planned additions like an aquarium.
"We visited the zoo as a family, and it was a really great experience! I went with my husband and our 5-year-old son, and we all enjoyed seeing the wide variety of animals. The zoo is a good size, and the walk took us about two hours. I do recommend bringing a stroller if you have little ones, because the walk can be a bit tiring for kids. During this season it was pretty hot, so next time I’ll plan to visit in the winter when it’s cooler. I also noticed they’re working on adding an aquarium, which is exciting and something I’ll look forward to seeing on our next visit. Overall, it’s a very nice zoo and definitely worth visiting if you don’t mind the walk!"

"reviews·15 photos Recommended. Be careful that the safari is not always available, it is only open when there is an influx of people, usually after midday on Saturdays and Sundays. I went on Saturday morning for second time and the service was not available.
2-3 hours experience.
Very affordable family oriented.
You will be able to feed and touch some animals while riding the safari."

"This park has many mammals, reptiles, and birds to see. It is an easy walk, and a great activity for families. A word of caution - the Safari towards the end of the walk that costs extra for tickets consists of a bus ride-about 20 minutes each time. It took us 2 hours to get our ride on the bus. If we had known, we wouldn't have gone on it.
We were still able to see all the animals on the safari out along the normal walking path."
