Thank You to the Plaza de Toronto team for replying to my review, I am happy to hear that you are no longer doing the bullfighting, as i stated, it was some time ago that i went. I am changing my rating because I enjoyed everything but the bull fight, and adding 2 stars for getting rid of that. I did love the entertainment and next time I visit the area, since the bullfighting is no more, I would be happy to come back for the entertainment.

I was visiting the area some time ago and saw an ad for the bull fight and horse show. Always thought it would be cool to see that part of the Mexican culture.
On the postive side:
The staff was attentive and helpful in my opinion, (although there seemed to be some shady ones in the group, eyeing tourists up & down.) prices were affordable and the entertainment, like horseback riding, tricks, music and dancing was pretty good, Until it wasn't....
The negative side:
I understand that this is part of the culture for the locals, but had no idea how barbaric and totally inhumane it would be when it came to the bull fight. I've never seen anything like that. I guess I expected a matador holding a red cape and pulling back when the bull chased after it, not a handful of them sneaking up from behind the bull, torturing and eventually killing the bull. Not impressed.
This was my first, and definitely my last real bull fight. I'm still not sure how four people torturing a bull to weaken it, then driving a sword through it's neck to kill it, is considerred a sign of "courage & strength" for the matador??? Seemed like a sign of weakness overload to me.
Personally, I was cheering for the bull!
May I suggest sticking to the entertainment portion? That was the only part that deserved stars. Never Again!"
