Reviews Summary

Visitors rave about Cenote Tankach-Ha's stunning underground beauty, clear turquoise waters, and exhilarating jumping platforms. Many describe it as a magical and intense experience, especially when visited with fewer crowds. Some note the dated spiral staircase but find the overall experience well worth the modest entrance fee.

"I was here in 2018. It was majical and intense. I definitely recommend it. Jumping from the high ledge was scary but I counted down then flew off toward the emerald waters. It was cool, exhilerating, kind of scary but more in an exciting way. Its a great memory I keep."

"Beautiful underground cave cenote with deep turquoise water, a few cute black fishes, bats, and two jumping platforms. Bathrooms and changing rooms are available but no lockers. 100 pesos for entry. Our favourite cenote so far, absolutely stunning!"

Fanni Keresztfalvi-Nagy

"Nice cenote with really deep water. It's almost uncomfortable to swim above the depth sometimes, even though you can still almost see the bottom - or maybe that's why :) It's one of the bigger ones, so it's very easy to swim in. What's unique about it are the two jumping platforms from which you can dive into the water. However, being wimps, we didn't jump in.
There are very few people in it, we were alone most of the time, so you can fully enjoy the majesty of the cave. Entrance was still 100 pesos and vests were optional."

The cenote is also remarkably deep, with depths reaching approximately 45 feet, making it feel both vast and slightly mysterious. The combination of the cave setting, deep water, and natural light filtering in creates an almost ethereal experience for swimmers and snorkelers. Reddit

What makes Tankach-Ha particularly exciting are the two jumping platforms built into the cave walls. These allow adventurous visitors to experience a thrilling leap into the cool, refreshing water below. The cenote is also home to some small fish and even bats, adding to its natural ecosystem and the overall sense of discovery. TikTokReddit
