"Tours ended during the pandemic. No visitors allowed. Not a even a gift shop. Very disappointed. I even called before hand to verify and only one person answered and immediately hung up when I inquired about a tour.
My friends and I still drove to visit this once-Mecca. Went to the end of the trail where Google Maps put us and it was the factory entrance for workers or vendors. The security guard told us to visit the gift shop in Tequila, Mexico, but that was closed a few years ago as we found out when we drove there.
This was my favorite brand before this but there was no customer-facing presence in the Tequila, Mexico, area. A few residents conveyed this to us (Brown Forman wants to make the Horseshoe an export only brand) and many in town are "erasing" their presence. I have given up and found another promising upstart small batch distillery whose products surpass the once great Herradura. They seem to have been a victim of a conglomerate who is sucking the soul of this brand.
I even felt slighted when the brand ambassador from Mexico visited a New Orleans uptown bar for a Herradura event a few years ago (maybe 2022?) and he lacked any interest when me and my fellow fanboy friend proclaimed our devotion to the brand. Don't bother visiting this distillery. There are many more smaller companies who are vying for your interest in this area. Just drop in and ask if they offer a tour, have a gift shop, or offer a flight."

"My wife, friend and I drove over 3 hours from Puerto Vallarta in the hopes of visiting Herradura. My friend called the front desk inquiring about a tour and the person answering the phone abruptly hung up the phone. Given that we were staying close to Amatitan, we decuded to drive to tge distillery abyways abd were told that they were no longer conductibg tours. We were also told by their security that there was a storefront in Tequila where we could buy Herradura products, however when we made it back to Tequila we were told that the storefront had also closed down. I enjoyed this brand quite a bit in the past and considered it to be a high quality product, however, after my recent experiences with Herradura, I'd rather purchase from other brands. If you go to Tequila and/or Amamitan, you will find smaller distilleries which produce a superior product. Go check out Tequileria Marengo, Tres Mujeres, and Los Abuelos/Fortaleza."
