"My wife and I had a free day, so we decided to go to this museum. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice it is! We spent a lot of time reading about the history of sugar in Mauritius. Very interesting! The old, converted factory had much of the same equipment used from back in the day. Very cool to see up close. And it was very kid friendly! Great place to take the family.
Once you’ve followed the path and reached the end, you go through the museum store where you can sample various types of sugar and try different Mauritian rums. Whew! Really strong!
Overall, we really liked the museum and would highly recommend it if you’re on the north side of Mauritius. Well worth the $26.50/adult we paid for admission."
