Reviews Summary

Merchant Street is a beautiful and historic artery of Valletta, praised for its architecture, shops, and vibrant atmosphere. While some find it similar to other Valletta streets, its charm and proximity to excellent dining, especially on St. Lucia Street, make it a must-visit. Be prepared for hills and crowds during peak times.

"Description is completely outdated. The whole street has been taken over by tourist restaurants."

Peter B

"It is indeed a beautiful street that crosses a bunch of similar vertical streets. In some places it is full of shops with tables in the middle. To be honest it is not easy to distinguish it from other roads, such as e.g. from parallel Triq Ir-Repubblika. The scenery inside the alleyways of Valletta often looks the same and always beige. That's why the photos I've uploaded are not all from that particular street, as it wasn't easy for me to know for sure which ones are from there and which ones aren't."

Orestis -

"Freedom from strict restrictions! Happy to feel tastes of Malta 🇲🇹!"
