What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Starling Mall is highly praised as a premier dining destination with a vast selection of restaurants and an affordable food court. Visitors appreciate its modern, clean design and convenient location. However, the retail variety is limited, and parking and surrounding traffic can be challenging.
"Update by 14/6/2025: Effective from July 2025. The payment for parking can be made by touch n go, credit card and debit card.
Visited this huge mall by today 8/3/2025. The mall is located just in the heart of PJ also known as Damansara uptown. It is surrounded by lots of shoplets and eateries. It is very hard to find street paid parking. Therefore, the cheapest and most convenient option is to park inside the starling mall. However, it is a bit tricky to find the entrance into the mall parking. You have to circle the building a bit and try to search for the word uptown7. I drove very slowly and went up the ram into the mall parking on the first floor. If you opt to park at the premier parking lot then you have to fork out extra money which from my inspection is RM4 for the first hour. This is because you only have to walk a bit to the mall entrance compared to the normal parking lots that need to walk a wee bit from the mall entrance but it is way cheaper. For the weekend and public holiday normal parking lot rate is the first two hours is RM1 and then third and fourth hour is RM1 per hour and subsequently hour is RM2 per hour. The mall is more like specializing in eateries. The mall is the heaven for food hunters. Lots of nice restaurants and even their food court is full of diners and delicious foods!!! Definitely worth to pay a visit to the mall. The mall also has an event hall at level 5 that constantly has warehouse sales. For this weekend, there are Rohto Mentholatum sales. Most of the items were up to 80% discounted and the expiry date is about 1.5 years later. Therefore, it is still consider a good deal if you have a fans of skincare. Would definitely will visit this mall again in future. The only problem is the traffic outside the mall is horrendous."

"The mall is spacious and thoughtfully designed, featuring a wide variety of shops and F&B outlets that cater to different tastes and preferences. It’s a great spot for shopping, dining, or just hanging out. However, the parking system feels outdated, still relying on paper tickets and cash-only machines, which can be inconvenient. A modern upgrade would really enhance the overall experience."

"Lots of food outlets, mostly Asian, Malaysian. There are also specialty stores to browse through.
The weekend crowd is okay. Not too crowded.
Very few spots to sit for a bit after a long walk so not that elderly-friendly. The mall is wheelchair friendly though."
