What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Atria Shopping Gallery is a medium-sized mall with a mix of shops and eateries, anchored by Village Grocer. While it has potential and is generally clean and well-maintained, many visitors note a lack of crowds and a high number of vacant shop lots, suggesting it struggles to compete with nearby malls. Management is actively trying to attract visitors with sales and new openings.
"Atria Shopping Gallery, once a highly anticipated mall in Damansara Jaya, is sadly a shadow of what it could have been. When it first opened, the mall showed great promise, with reputable tenants, a sleek design, and strong support from the surrounding neighbourhood. Many hoped it would become the vibrant community hub the area needed. Unfortunately, over the years, poor management decisions have steadily eroded its appeal.
One glaring issue is the high number of vacant shops, which immediately signals the mall’s struggles. Instead of creating engaging attractions or bringing in strong anchor tenants to pull crowds, the management has focused on petty policies, such as flip-flop changes in parking rules, which only frustrate visitors. There has also been little effort in curating events or experiences that would differentiate the mall from its nearby competitors.
The result is clear: while nearby malls like 1 Utama, The Starling, or Tropicana Gardens remain bustling on weekends, Atria is often eerily quiet even on Saturdays and Sundays. Without urgent improvements in strategy, tenant mix, and customer engagement, the situation will only get worse.
Atria had potential, but complacency and incompetence from management are pushing it further downhill."

"A not doing so well community mall, was where on a Saturday and there’s no crowd. Not much attractions, anchor tenant being Village grocer. Mall upkeep is not very good. Plenty of restaurants and cafe but only antipodean is doing well. Mostly empty shop lots with the sign - Something Exciting Is Coming.
Mall is with AC, but you can hardly feel it, I mean it’s there but non cooling enough. Parking is RM2 on weekends. The management is trying its best to retain shoppers but to no avail."
