🆃🅴🆁🆁🅰🅿🆄🆁🅸 𝑯𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒂𝒈𝒆 𝑽𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒈𝒆 in Kampung Mangkuk is nothing short of magical. Tucked along the serene east coast of Terengganu, this resort offers a unique blend of heritage, nature, and luxury that’s incredibly rare to find in Malaysia.
🛖 The resort is made up of 20ish beautifully restored and refurbished wooden villas, each over a century old and deep in history. Every villa has its own theme and story, which adds a rich cultural depth to the stay. You’re not just spending a night here - you’re stepping into a piece of living history!
🛖 The setting is peaceful, scenic, and incredibly tranquil. Facing the South China Sea, you’re treated to breathtaking sunrises with the silhouettes of Pulau Bidong, Redang, Perhentian & Lang Tengah gracing the horizon. It truly feels like a place fit for a king.
🛖 Although it’s a secluded and quiet escape, you’re only a 5-min drive from the popular Penarek area, known for its celup tepung seafood stalls. There are plenty of affordable, fresh seafood options nearby that perfectly complement the luxurious stay at Terrapuri.
💯 Yes, the rates are on the higher end—but the experience, ambiance, and attention to detail here are worth every ringgit. It’s not just a resort, it’s a cultural journey and a soul-recharging retreat.
👍Hats off to the management for preserving such a treasure and delivering such a top-notch experience.
Highly recommended for anyone seeking peace, culture, and a touch of royal indulgence. Definitely 4.5~5 🌟."

"We stayed for 3 nights. The hotel is stunning in its traditional way. We were a group of four and the only guests staying for two of the three nights one extra guest arrived for our last night! The rooms were beautiful and beds very comfortable. The food was amazing and plentiful."

"I stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of a 3 week trip around Malaysia & it was an AMAZING way to wrap up the trip! The villas are absolutely stunning and very comfortable. The common buildings and grounds are gorgeous and the huge pool is a delight on hot days and for night swimming. And the beach is right outside the front door! They offer a number of interesting excursions - did the firefly cruise which was very cool & I wish I'd had more days to take advantage of the others. And the staff was just delightful - especially Nisa & Wati with whom I hung out a lot. Wati even took me for a tour on her motorbike to check out the nearby village & other attractions including Tengku's Bottle House (google it! amazing & not to be missed!). Can't say enough good things about Terrapuri, how beautiful it is, and how wonderful of a project it is helping preserve the heritage and providing a source of income for locals. Highly recommended - 10 stars!!"
