Reviews Summary

Visitors find the Hang Jebat Mausoleum to be a well-maintained and peaceful site, offering a glimpse into local history and legends. It's appreciated for its quiet atmosphere and the informative displays that detail the warrior's story. While some may find it a brief visit, it's considered a worthwhile stop for those interested in Melaka's heritage.

"Visited in Feb.

The Hang Jebat Mausoleum is the tomb of Hang Jebat, the legendary Malaccan and friend of the equally famed Hang Tuah. While loyal to his friend, Hang Jebat is equally well known for rebelling against the sultan and as the story goes, went on a rampage. I can’t speak about the veracity of such stories because I only came to see the mausoleum. The mausoleum is contained within a walled garden at the end of which is Islamic style grave underneath a canopy. The garden and general area are surprisingly well kept. The garden has several display boards describing the story of Hang Jebat in more detail. The mausoleum is okay and is worth a quick look if you’re in the area nto get a little bit of local history."

"Quite solitude in remembrance of legendary malay warriors of yester years. Still neatly preserved amid the city build-ups all around."

"The final resting place of one of the well known Malaccan hero. This could be considered as a mini park due to the size. Its is very peaceful here. There are some unnamed tombs here too. #RP"
