What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the breathtaking panoramic views from the Langkawi Cable Car and Sky Bridge, calling the ride itself a thrilling experience. The engineering marvel of the Sky Bridge and the accessibility it offers to stunning vistas are major highlights. However, some find the cable cars lack air conditioning and can get warm, and queues for attractions like the SkyGlide can be lengthy.
"The hilltop station of the cable car is the gateway to attractions like the Eagle’s Nest Sky Walk, Sky Bridge, and several other scenic spots. The cable car ride itself is an experience, offering breathtaking views of cliffs, the island landscape, and the sea. The engineering of the cable car system is impressive, making the journey as memorable as the destination."

"Top Station + SkyBridge: You can get back in the cable car at the middle station to go to the top station for more views to the NorthWest. To get to the SkyBridge (which is a very uniquely constructed pedestrian bridge that spans two mountain peaks), you have to buy tickets for the NatureWalk or the NatureWalk+SkyGlide. If you buy just the tickets to NatureWalk, you have to hike down a path in the forest to arrive at the SkyBridge. If you bought tickets for the NatureWalk+SkyGlide, you can avail the Funicular which is just a glorified elevator and avoid the legwork. Note that the Nature Walk can be tough for those who are unfit.
You can always buy only tickets for just the cable car, and then, once you've decided, you can buy tickets for the NatureWalk & SkyGlide (to get to the SkyBridge) at the top stations. However, buying a package at the start will be cheaper compared to buying tickets separately."

"The view is amazing and also a small Bistro to enjoy the snacks at the top. There are two decks north and south to have a panoramic view of the island. Also people have tied locks in memory and good luck."

The Engineering Marvel: Langkawi Cable Car
The system utilizes a mono-cable gondola lift design, with each gondola capable of carrying up to six passengers. The ascent is smooth, providing ample time to soak in the spectacular scenery. The engineering is not just about the ride; it's about providing access to the unique geological formations and panoramic vistas that make Langkawi a must-visit destination.
Travelers often marvel at the steepness and incline of the cable car, making the experience feel both thrilling and awe-inspiring. The construction is a testament to modern engineering, allowing visitors to reach otherwise inaccessible heights and appreciate the island's natural beauty from a unique perspective.
Navigating the Sky Bridge and Top Station Attractions
Accessing the Sky Bridge from the Top Station involves a choice: the SkyGlide, a funicular-style elevator that offers a quick and convenient ride, or the Nature Walk, a scenic but more demanding hike down a mountain path. Many visitors opt for the SkyGlide, but it's important to be aware of potential queues, especially during peak hours. The Nature Walk, while requiring more physical effort, provides an immersive experience through the jungle with stunning viewpoints along the way.
Beyond the Sky Bridge, the Top Station also hosts other attractions like the Eagle's Nest Sky Walk and the SkyPos postbox, offering further opportunities for unique photos and breathtaking vistas. Some combo tickets may also include access to the Sky Dome and Sky Rex, adding to the overall experience. It's worth noting that while the views are spectacular, the cable cars and some areas might not be air-conditioned, which can be a consideration during hotter months.
