"The Petronas Towers are every bit as iconic in real life as they are in photos – an absolute must-see if you’re in Kuala Lumpur. Standing at the base and looking up is genuinely awe-inspiring; the scale, the symmetry, and the way they light up at night make them one of the most impressive modern architectural landmarks in the world.
The surrounding KLCC area is also well worth exploring – the park is beautifully maintained, and the fountain show in the evening adds a nice touch. The towers themselves house a high-end shopping mall with plenty of dining options, and the bridge and observation deck experience offers incredible panoramic views of the city.
That said, the queues for the observation deck can be long, and it’s best to book in advance. It’s also quite a short visit once you’re up there, so manage expectations accordingly.
