What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Go-Kart Berjaya Times Square KL offers a visually exciting indoor racing experience with its neon-lit track and electric karts, making it a fun outing for families and casual racers. While some find the speed and price a bit high for experienced go-karters, promotional deals and friendly staff enhance the overall enjoyment.
"Tried out the indoor Go-Kart experience at B3 level, Berjaya Times Square. The track is located in a basement carpark but is surprisingly airy and well-lit, with LED barriers giving it a fun, vibrant feel.
Registration was a bit slow but manageable. Staff provided basic safety gear like shower caps and helmets. After a short briefing, riders could choose between Basic or Pro karts, depending on preference.
The experience was fun, especially for casual riders or families. However, the price is on the higher side—RM40 to RM50 for a 10-minute session, with some discounts available for theme park visitors and staff.
Overall, a quick and enjoyable indoor activity in the city, but maybe more worth it if you go during off-peak or with promotions."

"As an enthusiastic, experienced Go-Karter, I would not recommend this place, especially at the 50MYR price for 10 minutes. You are using electric Go-karts with speed of around 17kph which is a joke.
First we were told there are not enough pro karts for 4 of us to go on together. I mean that's ridiculous. And we were not allowed to have 3 pro karts and 1 normal kart on the track at the same time even though there are pictures showing both types of karts on the track at the same time.
My brother used a Go-Kart which would not pick up fast enough or maintain speed compared to mine. We tested next to each other, and I was easily flying past. We told the technician who took a while to open up the kart and check the internals. My kart had a solid blue light, and my brothers had a flashing blue light on the status LED. The employee told us this is normal even if it flashes.
They have a fleet of Go-Karts and for some reason, they only have 2 pro karts to use at a time. Never have I been more disappointed leaving a go karting place"

"It's good fun for electric go karts, but more for kids as it's quite slow and leisurely. If you're into normal go karts, you might find this relatively boring.
It's also not very cheap. It wasn't busy when we went and the overall value for excitement might be why, except the kids new to it enjoyed it."

The Neon Track Experience
Visitors can choose between two types of electric go-karts: the 'Basic' unit, recommended for beginners and younger racers, and the 'Pro' unit, designed for those seeking higher speeds. While the 'Pro' karts offer a more exhilarating ride, some experienced go-karters have noted that even these might not reach the speeds of outdoor tracks, and availability can be limited. Nevertheless, for a casual outing or a family fun day, the karts provide a good level of excitement and engagement.
Registration involves a straightforward process, and safety is prioritized with the provision of helmets and shower caps. The staff are generally friendly and helpful, contributing to a positive overall experience. The 10-minute race sessions are often described as too short, leaving participants wanting more, which is a testament to the fun factor of the attraction.

However, there are significant opportunities to reduce the cost. A popular tip shared across TikTok is to use Berjaya Times Square Theme Park entrance tickets to get discounted rates, often bringing the price down to RM10 or RM20. This makes the attraction much more accessible and a better value proposition. It's highly recommended to check for these ongoing promotions before your visit to ensure you get the most bang for your buck.
For repeat visitors, there's a unique way to access the 'Pro' karts: by showing proof of a previous visit (like a photo). This allows you to race the faster karts on subsequent visits, adding an incentive for enthusiasts to return. Considering these promotional avenues, the 'value' of the experience can be significantly enhanced, making it a worthwhile stop for many.
