What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Eden Cafe is praised as a hidden gem on Lot 10's rooftop, offering stunning KL skyline views at affordable prices. While the ambiance and views are highlights, some visitors note issues with payment methods, potential heat outdoors, and occasional service inconsistencies. The food and drinks are generally considered decent but not exceptional.
"I ordered tiramisu and peach tea, the cashier just proceeds with payment. After done tapping my card, the cashier take a step back from the counter and said they are out of tiramisu. He asked me to take another cake with the same price. Mind you, tiramisu was rm17, the most expensive type of cake they are selling and i only choose that because i wanna eat tiramisu. Not any other cake. The cashier doesn't sound really fluent in english and i know it migt be a hussle to process a refund. I just proceed with the cake he offered. Luckily it taste nice but doesn't worth rm17. I'm a bit disappointed. They should at least check if they have the stock before proceed with the payment"

"A hidden gem on the rooftop of Lot 10. The prices are affordable, especially for a coffee shop in the Bukit Bintang area. The coffee tastes decent, though not particularly outstanding. I just wish they would stay open a bit longer. It’s a cozy spot for hanging out."

"Cookies are nice.. Croissant also nice my kids love to have it before Sunday school at HTBB
Small space for indoor seat, semi outdoor seating also limited and quite hot in the afternoon, better in the morning or after lunch time to have a seat here
Location wise is very good, peaceful and right on the spot of Bukit Bintang area (Lot 10 rooftop)"

👨👩👧 Families with Kids
However, parents should be mindful of the potential heat if sitting outdoors, which might make younger children uncomfortable. The limited indoor seating also means it might not be ideal for larger families or strollers during busy periods. The cafe's payment policy (cash/QR only) is also something to consider when managing family expenses.
📸 Instagrammers & Photographers
To capture the best light, consider visiting during the golden hour in the late afternoon. However, be prepared for the heat if you plan to stay outdoors for extended photo sessions. The cafe's affordability also means you can linger and capture multiple shots without a hefty bill, making it a budget-friendly choice for content creators.
💰 Budget Travelers
Since there's no minimum spend and no entry fee, it's a great place to relax and take a break without pressure. Just remember the cash/QR payment policy and perhaps bring some snacks if you plan to stay for a while, as some reviews suggest the food might not be the main highlight compared to the view.

The Rooftop Experience: Views and Ambiance
While the views are free, the cafe itself provides an affordable way to enjoy them. Visitors can choose to sit outdoors to fully embrace the cityscape, though it can get quite hot during sunny afternoons. Alternatively, indoor seating offers a cooler, air-conditioned environment. The cafe is noted for being a peaceful place to relax, making it suitable for a quiet coffee break or a casual meet-up.
However, it's important to manage expectations regarding the heat if opting for outdoor seating. The best times to visit for comfort are typically in the morning or after lunch, when the sun is less intense. Despite the urban setting, the cafe manages to create a surprisingly tranquil atmosphere, making it a worthwhile discovery for those seeking a moment of calm with a view.
Practicalities: Payments, Hours, and Service
The cafe's operating hours are generally from 9 am to 5:30 pm on weekdays and Saturdays, and from 8 am to 4:30 pm on Sundays. They are closed on public holidays. Some visitors have expressed a wish for them to stay open a bit longer, suggesting that the current hours might feel limiting for those wanting to enjoy the evening views.
Service at Eden Cafe has received mixed reviews. While some staff are noted to provide good service, others have been described as unmannerly or not fluent in English, which can lead to communication challenges. A notable issue reported is the practice of proceeding with payment before confirming stock availability, leading to disappointment if an ordered item is later found to be unavailable. It's advisable to double-check stock before making your payment to ensure a smoother experience.
