Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the Sultan Sulaiman Royal Mosque for its stunning and unique Art Deco architecture, a rare gem in Malaysia. The serene atmosphere, historical significance as a National Heritage Building, and well-maintained facilities make it a highly recommended visit in Klang. Some minor points of confusion regarding administrative building locations were noted, but overall, the experience is overwhelmingly positive.

"Alhamdulillah 🤲🏼
This mosque constructed by the British in early 1922 and officially opened in 1923, this mosque was originally known as Masjid Suleiman Jamiur Rahman. It later became known as the Sultan Sulaiman Mosque, serving as the royal mosque.

Alhamdulillah, my family and I had the blessing to perform our prayers here after walking around Klang. The atmosphere was calm and serene, with clean surroundings that added to the beauty of worship.

This mosque has been officially declared a National Heritage Building under the National Heritage Act — a recognition of its historical and architectural value.

May Allah SWT grant us the strength to preserve this sacred place, maintain its cleanliness, and keep it as a symbol of pride for the Muslim community. Ameen. 🤲🏼"

"I think it has its charm.

Quite an old mosque, situated just beside Klang Royal Palace.

It is small, but very neat and tidy.

It has separate buidling for administration. I was puzzled initially when i wanted to look for the toilet."

"A beautiful heritage building that is worth a visit. Perhaps the only art deco inspired mosque in Malaysia or maybe the world. The unique details found throughout the building are rarely seen in any other mosque. My visit to this mosque for Friday prayers before Ramadhan 2025 gave me a good surprise. The main hall is now enclosed with glass doors in the main entrances. The upgrade was needed to allow for air-conditioning in the main hall. It seems there were some people who preferred to pray in cool comfort. For those who do not prefer air-conditioning, there is plenty of space for prayers outside of the main hall."
