And sacred it was. The stone forest landscape rising from glass-still waters? Straight out of a fantasy film where the mountains float and the rocks whisper secrets. Then, bam - hornbills on the rock face, gliding like rainforest deities doing surveillance on this lost tourist.
Slept in a hammock under a blanket of stars and low jungle murmurs. Cool, crisp air. No regrets. Except maybe the time I thought I saw a gibbon and it was just my reflection in survival mode.
