"To play at the casino (or the older Genting casino), you need to join Genting Rewards and get a member card. The process is free and you can do it at the member counter outside SkyAvenue casino (see pidture) - it takes about five minutes and your passport is required. The staff will also ask some questions about your occupation.

Bagpacks are not allowed into the casino due to in-housr policy. I don't recommend using the lockers which aren't free but charge between RM 35 to 55 for use - so store them in your hotel room before visiting.

SkyAvenue casino has two floors and you can take your pick of games. Level 1 has slot machines and level 2 has more slot machines; manned gaming tables, electronic tables (you can play blackjack, roulette, sic bo etc). To play, insert your member card and key in the PIN you made when joining as a member insert banknotes (RM 10, 20, 50 and 100 bills only) which will load as credits into your card.

When you want to withdraw your money, press the cash out button on the screen and head for the ATMs - these are Genting ATMs where you can cash out Key in your PIN and follow the on-screen instructions to withdraw in RM 10 and 100 denominations only (e.g. RM 90 will get you nine RM 10 bills but RM 100 will get you a single RM 100 bill).

For banknote collectors, you can hunt for new notes by going to the ATM to withdraw notes and loading the used bills as credits at any nearby slot machine etc Repeat the process ad infinitum.

Good luck and don't forget, the casino always win in the long run. So cash out when you have some winnings already and can walk out like a boss. Know your limits and never fall prey to the sunk cost fallacy of "let me play just one more time to recoup my losses".

"Negative Stars. Don't come here. It is truly shameful. This is the worse review I have written. The only reason they casino has a 3+ star review is because people review the wrong place with more stars.

Have been to casinos all over the world and this one is at the bottom of the barrel, under the trash. This is what I saw in 2 hours mainly waiting for my payout which took an 1hr 40m to get.

1) There are no signs anywhere saying you can have a temporary card to play. So when it was time to cash out and your machines blip a message up you don't have time to read, it freezes. Then you have to wait two hours to get your pay out. The disorganization of the staff is incredible. I was actually mocked by the supervisor for not knowing I needed a membership or temporary card.

2) Security doesn't exist. Some random dudes at the entrance checking identification is not security. That's screening. Saw two different guys cut in line for cashiers at different times. Both were shouting and throwing things at the cashier. One was even smacking the flimsy plastic barrier and with his tone, suggested he was more than angry about something. No security showed or seen anywhere.

3) How the cashiers don't get money stolen from them is beyond comprehension it's just sitting there in the open behind the counter. Plus I gave them a slip for my payout and it was like a alien object to them and their supervisors. The line for the cashier is a disaster too. One line with two people to guide you to the open window and people still cut in line directly to the cashier.

4) The machines are filthy. You see cleaning staff emptying the garbage bins and cleaning the washrooms okay but there is cigarette ash everywhere. The gaming screens are full of finger prints too. You even see some people smoking just behind tables. At the table under your foot rest is littered with cigarette butts.

5) Where are the exits? There are probably two well marked in the whole place. Try to find the others and you'll find washrooms, staff only areas or a restaurant. Somewhere through that you may get out. You think people who go to casinos all the time care about your well-being? Pray you get trampled before you burn.

6) No signs directing you to this Casino from the outside. Walked by twice. Didn't even know. Wish I never did.

7) Do you smoke? Well you do now. Air quality is terrible and people just smoke anywhere. You can taste the air right when you walk in. Designated smoking areas are a joke.

8) See these pictures that promote your casino? Remember that. That loser of a dealer claiming he was doing his job telling me not to take pictures while people were smoking in non-smoking areas, drinking at machines, and guess what also taking pictures. You choose me to say it's policy and hide behind your job. All the while you were shown these things mentioned and told I would restore these pictures after you walked away. And how fast you did. Get a life.

9) Customer Service? Nope. The wait for my payout. Mocked by a supervisor. Power tripping dealer. Incompetent cashier supervisor. Poorly trained cashiers. Staff are one trick ponies here. There's no analytical thinking allowed. Nice man turned in a passport he found to the guy maintaining the line for the cashier. He was ignored. Man went to the cashier to turn the passport. The cashier gave it back to him twice. A supervisor then came over and said they couldn't take it. The man said lost and found repeatedly in three different languages that yes I understood and they still tried to give it back to him. Didn't even tell him where he could take it. He eventually walked away with the passport left on the counter. For a whole minute it was on the counter before the supervisor came back to place it behind the back counter. That passport is now lost. Not found.

10) Only good things are the free non-alcoholic drinks."
