"Completed in 1912, it was originally the High Court later becoming the office for the Public Works Department. It was later converted to an art gallery in 1983. It houses art works done by Kedahans. Entrance is free. Currently, it is closed to public due to ongoing renovation."
Jeremiah Seelan
"Not too many artwork is on displayed; most of the collection are either rotated or brought from some other place (during my visit there is a traveling exhibition by the National Gallery in Kuala Lumpur on paintings by Kedah's artist). The building itself is an art but they still did not do anything on the ornate ceiling. The display on traditional Malay house look too tired and well, lazy. Not much enthusiast by the staffs maybe but at least the security personal is friendly & helpful."
