"It was easy and smooth cross, passport were scanned on both sides when entering and leaving.
Be mindful that once you enter the Turkish side roaming charges might apply on your cellular network provider as this is not part of EU"

"Brilliant few hours experiencing the border crossing and some shopping on the Turkish side which is very cheap. Bought some fashion items, jewellery, food and had a haircut. Then spent some time on the Greek side shopping. Lovely place and there is car parking right next to it. Passport control were friendly and did not search our bags although apparently they can sometimes confiscate any counterfeit goods when returning."

Paul Tilbury

"Hopefully, one day, the whole ‘Green Line’ will be merely a sad chapter in the island’s history but, for the time being, it’s a fact of life. For tourists curious to peek through the fences of UN compounds and see the layout of the buffer zone more clearly (then, e.g. at Ledra Street), this is the best spot. The crossing itself was super smooth on both sides. For anyone concerned, passports (or IDs for EU nationals) are only scanned, not stamped."
