The Grand Serail is a historically significant building showcasing impressive Ottoman architecture. While its role as the Prime Minister's headquarters means public access and photography are restricted, its preserved facades and grand courtyard are notable. "The building follows the Turkish Ottoman Architecture style and used to serve as headquarters for the governors of Lebanon during that occupational rule. Transformed into the Lebanese government / prime minister's HQ, it underwent a major overhaul from the interior after the end of the Lebanese war preserving the facades and the original structure.
The place is amazingly well preserved and quite impressive. Unfortunately photo ops are hard to get and no public visits are available."

"Very nice building. Also very protected these days"

"Well the building was ok, obviously we couldn’t go in as it is a government building. Plus if you take pictures you will get undercover military cops coming up to you, asking where you are from and why are you taking pictures. This shouldn't be on the list of places to visit on trip-advisor, as it's not a touristy place, you are not allowed to go and see. It's a government building."
