What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the Japanese Garden's stunning coral reefs and abundant marine life, making it a top spot for snorkeling and diving in Aqaba. While the natural beauty is a huge draw, some guests, particularly women, have reported feeling uncomfortable due to attention from local men. Renting snorkel gear can also be a hassle with aggressive vendors. Despite these issues, the accessibility and free entry make it a highly recommended experience for its underwater wonders.
"This was the best place where I did snorkeling, you can drive here instead of paying for snorkeling boat tour.
Entry to the beach is free of charge but utilization of toilet and shower paid and about 1 jod per person. I parked the car at the main road, it was not issue at all. Enjoy the Red Sea 🙂
Tips for snorkeling:
* There is mid current there so try to don’t go far from the shore even though there are some other reefs there.
* Leave reefs and corals intact, they may get broken and damaged suddenly and destroy their habitat."

"This is an absolute must-visit for snorkelers in Aqaba! The diversity of corals and fish here is truly amazing. It's a local beach with all the necessary facilities, which is really convenient.
However, a word of caution, particularly for female visitors: some local guys can be annoying. It's generally quieter during weekdays before sunset, which can be a better time to enjoy the beauty with more peace. Overall, for the snorkeling alone, it's highly recommended!"

"One of the best locations in Aqaba for snorkeling and diving, BUT
People here are annoying especially if you have girls with you, they stare like crazy, and you don't feel safe"
