What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the exhilarating drift karting experience and the nostalgic, retro charm of Big Bang Yamato. It's praised as a budget-friendly spot for families and thrill-seekers alike, offering a wide range of activities. However, some note that the facility shows its age and could benefit from modernization to enhance the overall atmosphere.
"If you're looking for a fun and unique way to get your adrenaline pumping, this is the place to be. The drift karts are a blast to drive, and the circuit provides the perfect setting to practice and perfect your drifting skills.
It's incredibly satisfying to start with basic turns and eventually work your way up to executing full-on drifts. The karts are responsive and intuitive, making it easy for beginners to pick up the basics while still offering a challenge for more experienced drivers.
The real highlight is the social aspect—racing and playing with others on the track adds a layer of competitive fun that makes the experience even more memorable. The shared laughter and friendly rivalry create a fantastic atmosphere.
While the experience itself is top-notch, a small suggestion for improvement would be to give the facility a bit of a facelift. A fresh coat of paint, updated lighting, or some modern touches could really elevate the atmosphere and attract a new generation of thrill-seekers. A slight renovation would go a long way in making this already great spot even better, ensuring it remains a prime destination for years to come."

"Fun driving experience, but definitely showing its age
I brought my boys to BIG BANG Yamato Leisure Sports Plaza, and we had an absolute blast on the driving simulators definitely the highlight of our visit. There’s a lot to do here: batting cages, pool, darts, and more, and we probably could’ve stuck around longer to take advantage of it all.
That said, the place definitely gives off Round One vibes but with a strong hit of “old carpet stench” nostalgia. 😅 The facility has a ton of potential and activities, but it’s clear that it’s seen better days. A little updating and deep cleaning could go a long way.
Still, if you’re looking for a chill place to hang out and let the kids burn off energy, it’s not a bad option. Just don’t expect anything shiny or new."

"Really fun time!
We hit the batting cages for ¥200 each round. Then went down to the go-karts for ¥500. So much fun for not a lot of money. The slot car racing looked cool but they were having a tournament so we couldn't go inside.
Don't really need to know japanese to have fun here. We will definitely be back."
