However, the significant traffic congestion, particularly during peak hours and illuminations, is a common point of frustration.
"Stunning cherry blossom tunnel."
Niko
"The cherry blossoms were in full bloom, so I visited on the evening of Friday, April 18, 2025, a roughly one-hour walk from the station.
It's a fair distance from the station, but it's well worth the trip!
Of course, there's illuminations, and on the south side of the Mamigasaki River, there's a cherry blossom tunnel (2.3km long). If you cross Atago Bridge and head north, there are stalls (more than 12, I think). There's still some snow in the Zao area, so good photographers should be able to take some great shots.

A cherry blossom tunnel is formed.
It stretches from Atago Bridge to Shimokaramatsu Bridge.
The total length is about 2.3 kilometers.
The cherry blossoms on both sides of the river are like popcorn.
They complement the Zao Mountain Range and are beautiful.
Locals bring their families to set up tents on the green land.
The picnic seats are filled with food and drinks.
Children and pets run and play on the grass.

Navigating Traffic and Access
