We’re excited to be heading towards Shiretoko National Park on the far NE tip of Hokkaido. We stayed at Wakkanai sea port last night and early this morning we’ve headed out to Monbetsu. Big thunder storms were predicted this morning but they haven’t eventuated yet and hopefully we’ll just get some rain.

Heading to Rebun Island ♪ It’s about two hour cruise Wakkanai to Kafuka port of Rebun Island. We planned to walk to the ferry terminal but my friend’s brother who lives in Wakkanai worried about the bad weather. So he kindly came to our hotel (with lots of delicacies!) and took us to the terminal. Much appreciated M. #cruise #islandcruise #rebunisland #remoteisland #hokkaido #japan #wakkanaitoreb...
