What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors rave about the incredible freshness of the seafood at Kuroshio Market, with the live tuna cutting show being a major highlight. While prices are noted as being on the higher side, the quality and experience are generally considered worthwhile, especially for seafood lovers. The market's location within Marina City adds to its appeal.
"It’s not a huge fish market. One section selling the cooked and raw food. And right inside, the section selling souvenirs and gifts. Well organized. First time seeing the tuna cutting show. The timing as indicated in my pictures please check the time if you happen wanting to see. However, as it is in Japanese language when he was explaining the different cuts, I don’t understand at all. If you like to buy to try the fresh cut again, indicated in my pictures the price. I think it is quite expensive.
There are many places outside for sitting with your food and drinks. I think overall nice experience for a rest and relaxing day just doing nothing much. But to slow down the pace and enjoy."

"We arrived a little bit late at around 2pm for lunch, which turned out to be a perfect time with no long queues. Nice food and great to watch how to cut a whole tuna."

"We came from Osaka and Wakayama. Great place which does not consist of much western tourists. Decent sized seafood wet market with a variety to offer. The main attraction is to cook your purchased seafood or “hamayaki” as referred to in Japan. This can be done in the dining area in the back with each table consisting of a grill. There is also a vendor for drinks which closes at 4:30pm. Overall, great experience 👍🏽"
