Reviews Summary

Bios no Oka is praised for its serene natural beauty and unique cultural experiences like traditional attire and water buffalo rides. Visitors appreciate the peaceful atmosphere and family-friendly activities, though some note that additional activities can be costly and food prices are on the higher side. It's considered a worthwhile half-day trip for a relaxing escape. InstagramReddit+1

"Came around opening time. The area is green and everything is made out of wood. Really nature friendly but when it comes to activities there really isn’t much. The entrance ticket includes the boat ride already which was nice however there is nothing to see in the river except a little water buffalo hidden and fenced in a corner and then a few plants. After that you have the choice of getting in the buffalo cart tour but it’s $20 for each adult. Food inside is very overpriced. Once you have done all of this you can go pet the goats and feed them some carrots. There are also some other stalls with water buffalo in them that you can go see. Place is mostly good for very small children who just want to run around in the green areas. Normally wouldn’t rate this low but since every other attraction in Okinawa is literally the same as this one, it’s nothing special. Botanical gardens is honestly better in my opinion. More animals to see and better activities"

"A Short and Sweet Adventure – Totally Worth It!
I spent a lovely day at BIOS Hill during a trip to Okinawa, and it was such a beautiful and worthwhile experience. Even though it was quite hot, the orchid tour was peaceful, short, and absolutely charming. While I didn’t understand the Japanese narration, the beauty of the surroundings spoke for itself.

One of the highlights was seeing the water buffalo and enjoying a performance by a traditional Ryukyuan dancer — such a special cultural touch. I also purchased a gorgeous orchid to gift to my friend I was visiting, which felt like the perfect souvenir.

While I didn’t bring any kids, I could definitely see it being a great spot for families — interactive, gentle, and full of nature. If you’re looking for a relaxing, culturally rich half-day adventure, I highly recommend BIOS Hill!"

"Fun and clean park great for families. Offering giant swings, "treehouse" style forts, pontoon boat rides, animals (to include goats!), and much more. A little cafe is in the park with soba, taco rice, tea, and ice cream. Vending machines and a gift shop also available.

Plenty of free parking at the entrance of the park.

Visa/card is accepted for ticket purchase, bring yen to buy food for the goats (200 yen)!"
