"Matsukawa Pleasure Boat Platform @ Toyama ⛴️🌸 – Relaxing Ride with Local Charm & Family Memories
We visited on 14 April Monday at 3:00 PM. Although the sakura season had mostly ended, we still enjoyed a peaceful and scenic boat ride—and most importantly, my son had a blast on his very first boat ride.
The boat driver was humorous and interactive, sharing fun insights about local culture, nature, buildings, and life in Toyama. At the turnaround point, a few sakura trees were still in full bloom, adding a beautiful surprise to the journey.
We even captured the best shot of my son enjoying the moment—a special memory from our trip. A wonderful family-friendly experience, worth doing even outside peak sakura season."

"Visited in early Jun when irs past the Cherry flower season. Nevertheless, a good 30mins river cruise yo enjoyr the city."

"The cruise was about 30mins in total. The boatman was very friendly and pleasant, tried so hard to speak English. The commentary is in Japanese so for non native speakers, they provided English guide reference but it was hard to follow during the ride. We took the cruise in May, so there is no cherry blossoms at all. Both sides of river was flanked by green lush trees. At some point, we were provided with a small portion of feed to throw into the river for the carp and trout. 3 Huge 1m long trout appeared! I would only recommend this cruise during the Sakura season otherwise the experience is rather plain."
