"Pokémon Center Tokyo Mega is an absolute must-visit for any Pokémon fan—whether you’ve been playing since Red and Blue or just discovered the series recently. Located inside the Ikebukuro Sunshine City mall, the store is huge, vibrant, and packed with everything that makes Pokémon so magical.
The moment you walk in, it’s like entering a living Pokédex. Giant statues of iconic Pokémon greet you at the entrance, and the music playing in the background immediately triggers a wave of nostalgia. The store is beautifully designed, with themed sections for various regions, types, and merchandise categories. Every shelf feels like it was arranged with care, and it's almost impossible not to smile as you walk around.
The selection is amazing—plushies, figures, stationery, snacks, apparel, keychains, cards, and all kinds of exclusive items you won’t find outside of Japan. Some merchandise rotates based on the season or special events, so there’s always something new to discover. I picked up a few plushes and gifts, but honestly, I could’ve spent hours (and way more money) just looking around.
Despite how popular it is, the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. They’re used to visitors from all over the world, and they keep the store running smoothly even during peak hours. There’s also a Pokémon GO spot just outside, and other stores nearby with anime and gaming goods, so you can really make an afternoon of it.
What really stood out to me was how joyful the whole space felt. It’s not just a store—it’s a celebration of a world that’s brought people together for decades. I saw kids and adults alike walking around with wide eyes and excited voices. There’s something really wholesome and heartwarming about that.
If you love Pokémon, this place is pure happiness. It’s a perfect blend of shopping, nostalgia, and fandom, and definitely one of those places you’ll remember long after you leave Tokyo. Whether you’re hunting for merch or just want to soak in the atmosphere, Pokémon Center Tokyo Mega delivers."

"I arrived when it first opened, and there was quite a line! It moved quickly though, so I was in the store within 5 minutes. This store has every Pokemon piece of merchandise you can imagine. The space is wide open making access easy. Even at maximum capacity, there are tons of staff members circulating trying to help you find the item you’re looking for, and the best part is that you get free stickers for making purchases that are only available at this Pokemon store. If you love Pokemon and want to pick up a collectible, come here to do it."
