Reviews Summary

Nago Beach is praised for its family-friendly shallow waters and excellent snorkeling opportunities, with many enjoying the unique sandbar walk and sunset views. However, some visitors note that the beach can be a bit dirty, and facilities like showers are scarce, so packing essentials is crucial.

"We went here by car on a warm day in October 2021, and we brought our snorkeling gear. We weren’t disappointed! The water was still warm and the visibility was pretty good. The ocean floor is part sandy and part rocky, and if you stay near the coast and swim around the little peninsula it gets to around 1 to 3 meters deep.

There were many subtropical fish and we even saw a few pretty large octopuses.

We didn’t find any shower facilities so we used bottles of water to wash afterwards."

Stefanie A.

"One of the most family-friendly beaches on the Chiba Peninsula. On the right side fine sand and shallow water, on the left side not so fine sand but still shallow waters. Across the little island one can visit caves. Better bring your snorkel as it lots of sea life near the rocky shores. Together with our 3yo daughter we enjoyed a whole afternoon there."

Tob L

"I term it as a raw beauty of nature. Mount Fuji is visible from the beach if there is no cloud in the sky and weather is good. Car parking is free at cost. Sea waves are pretty strong here."
