What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
A charmingly quirky roadside station with a strong local produce focus, especially its famous melons. Visitors appreciate the coastal vibe, surf shop, and the pleasant views from the second floor. While some find certain amenities inconsistent, it remains a popular and worthwhile stop for its unique atmosphere and fresh offerings.
"funny old place really, I often stop on the way from hamamatsu to irago whilst biking/cycling. There is a souvenir shop, a plant shop, an ice cream shop or something thats never open, usually a food van, a random road bike exhbit made by some car company and a surf shop. You can shelter under the building if its raining or go up onto the second floor but there's not much of a view. There's a nice enough cycle route leading on from this area that follows the coastline. I wish they'd turn this place into a normal supermarket and add a cafe outside or something, but at least its not a pachinko parlour."

"Good roadside station with a market in it, might need to search for a parking space as it's popular on weekends."

"Good beach for surfing"
