What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Masumi Sake Brewery for its welcoming atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, and excellent selection of sakes, including unique seasonal offerings. The renovated venue is noted for blending tradition with modernity, making it a pleasant place to visit. Some reviews mention concerns about the use of plastic cups during tastings and the environmental impact.
"Well worth a visit for the very nice shop and friendly and helpful staff. Good selection of sake types and sizes - we got the summer seasonal Masumi Suzumisake which was light and refreshing.
You can also buy tickets at this place (and four other participating breweries close by) for a brewery trail (¥2000 per person at time of posting). This gets you a stamp and decent size sample from each place upon visiting, with which you can then enter a prize draw."

"Very nice place to stop by. The staff is friendly, helpful and very welcoming. You can buy à wide range of good sake."
Benoît Lavigne
"We got a sake ticket from kami Suwa station for 3000 yen which you can use in 5 sake breweries. This place was nice, we went into a tasting room which had a nice garden, but the door was open onto a busy road and all the drink was from plastic cups, so very bad for the environment and human bodies too. I wouldn't come here again."
