What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Sumida River cruises are generally well-loved for their stunning views of Tokyo's skyline, especially the Tokyo Skytree, and the magical experience of seeing the city lights at sunset or night. The staff are often praised for their courtesy and helpfulness, even in challenging weather. However, some visitors have encountered issues with payment processing and a lack of English commentary, which can detract from the experience for international travelers.
"This cruise was wonderful and the service on board was amazing - they had limited drinks, but we’re very courteous and got us whatever we wanted - I would recommend them getting some blankets on board for the cold nights - the bridges were lit up and we saw cherry blossoms over the river way - the boat is very nice and had a heater onboard"

"The cruise and the staff is lovely and even though it rained heavily on the day i booked in March, the staff was kind to passed out ponchos and moved to the sights where the sakura are. The sights are indeed very beautiful and the staff of the cruise is awesome.
What is disappointing is I paid twice for the cruise and despite writing in many times, the issue was not resolved. I booked online and then i found that my credit card charge was cancelled so i paid in cash when i arrived for the cruise. Many days later when i returned to my country, i discovered that i was charged again. i wrote in and they said they will reverse the credit card charge. 4 months later and many emails, it didn’t happened. There was also no email about what happened. This made me very disappointed.
It’s a lovely cruise, but please be aware that when you make a booking online, don’t pay cash. The charge will come later.
Edit: 1 year later and i still haven’t received my refund even though they said they will refund my credit card."

Private charters are also available for groups seeking a more exclusive experience, perfect for events or special occasions.
