What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Zenpukuji River Green Park for its extensive green spaces, ideal for walking, cycling, and family outings. The children's bike park and cherry blossoms are particular highlights, offering a refreshing natural escape within West Tokyo. Some minor construction may occur, but the overall experience is highly positive for those seeking outdoor recreation.
"I walked pretty much the entire stretch along the river here, and it was really pretty. Right now is a great time to visit because the leaves are starting to change, and it adds so much color to the whole area. It’s quiet, peaceful, and perfect for a slow walk.
There are also a few places where you can actually do activities, plus a children’s park, so if you have kids or you’re coming with a small family, it’s a nice spot. Toward the southern end, there are quite a few benches and tables where you can sit, rest, or just enjoy the scenery.
The trees lining the river look beautiful at this time of year, and the atmosphere is really calm. There’s also a shrine nearby, which I recommend checking out while you’re already in the area. And there are several other parks close by that are also worth a visit.
Overall, it’s a really pretty area and definitely a nice spot to spend some time outdoors."

"A nice, refreshing walking trail along the wide riverside. Access from Minami-asagaya Station. I especially like here during the cherry blossom season. If you live in the west side of Tokyo, this places makes for a good nature exploring alternative without going too far."

"Great place to cycle along the river off the main roads, or go for a run and enjoy spacious lawns, parks and childrens playparks and exercise areas. Some parts are under construction but still is a great way to find a restorative green space in Tokyo. Best between the area of Seibi Bridge (済美橋) and Nishi Tabata Bridge (西田端橋)."
