What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Tatadohama Beach is praised for its stunningly clear, clean waters and soft white sand, making it a beautiful spot for swimming and relaxation. Visitors appreciate the separate surfing area, available rentals, and the unique natural rock formations. However, the water can be quite cold, and the strict 5 PM parking closure is a recurring point of frustration for some.
"Great beach, the water is super clear & clean compare to Minami Izu Beach. They also have toilets & you can rent parasols, floats & chairs.
The water is a bit cold. BUT one annoying thing : for weather ever reason the beach parking closes at 5PM and the workers starting calling your call at 4:30PM although they know you still have 30minutes to go…
Nothing surprising considering we’re in Japan & deinfitely not known to be flexible but weird that a public parking “closes” & that even before sunset! Anyways, at least they allow music & drinking on thsi beach"

"A small sandy beach that was virtually deserted, but clearly beloved of surfers. There were a few trying the rather small waves. Either end of the beach holds points of interest - a natural tunnel rough the rock to the sea (used for small boat launching) at one end and some wild rock formations and caves at the other. The area isn't built up at all. I was here early April, so off-season."

"Small, Clean white sand beach with crystal clear water.
Swimming accessories rental shops, restaurant, dressing rooms, restrooms available nearby.
Parking is available.
Best place for surfers.
Rocks are too sharp, better avoid going near them in order not to get hurt."
