"I went to Anori Shrine to get a shark charm at the request of my son who lives in Tokyo. The parking lot is on the right side of the square after passing the shrine's approach. I think it's on the side where the building is.
After the parking lot, go past the side of the assembly hall to the Chozuya.
From the Chozuya, climb the stairs to the main shrine building.
The main shrine building is made of reinforced concrete.
After praying, I looked back and saw the beautiful sea beyond the two torii gates. I could appreciate the beauty of the approach to the sea.
After receiving the shark charm at the shrine office, on the way back to the car, I noticed a sign on the pillar of the Chozuya that said "The sea is beautiful! ←". I walked around the side of the shrine for about 3 minutes and arrived at the red torii gate. It was certainly beautiful.
I guess the sea is on the opposite side to the one seen from the approach.
In a sense, my son brought me to Anori Shrine, but I was very satisfied with the wonderful trip."

The Significance of the Shark Amulet
The shrine's connection to the sea is deeply ingrained in its history and offerings. The very name 'Anori' is said to have originated from a historical event where a warlord prayed for safe navigation and victory, leading to the place name change. This historical context reinforces the shrine's reputation as a place of protection and good fortune, especially for journeys involving the ocean or transportation.
Capturing the Coastal Beauty
For an even more striking photographic opportunity, follow the signs from the Chozuya that point towards a beautiful sea view. A short walk of about three minutes will lead you to a red torii gate. This gate, set against the backdrop of the ocean, provides a classic and visually appealing scene that is highly recommended for photography. It offers a different, yet equally captivating, perspective of the coastline compared to the views from the shrine itself.
