What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
WOMB Tokyo is a highly-regarded techno and house music club in Shibuya, praised for its exceptional sound system, dynamic lighting, and international DJ lineups across three floors. While some find the music repetitive or the smoking area on the top floor unpleasant, most visitors enjoy the energetic atmosphere, friendly crowd, and overall immersive experience, despite varying entry fees.
"what's the point of having 3 floors with 3 obnoxious DJs playing the same repetitive music? like babes your career isn't gonna take off, stop trying to stand out by playing that noisy beer can music, play gimme more, let a girl catch a vibe and don't piss me off because the tube is closed until 5am"
JC
"Really enjoyed last night at Womb, minus the smoking (seriously, people still smoke?) great pricing, three different vibes of music dependent on which floor you're on, and people were friendly. The top floor was my vibe, playing more house stuff than the hard techno or edm on first and mid."

"Good spot for techno lovers in Tokyo. The club’s location is convenient and the venue itself is spacious with plenty of room to dance. There are three different floors to explore which keeps things interesting.
The main floor on the second level has a solid sound system and an nice light setup. When I went yesterday, at 3–5 am, the heavy strobe lights really energize the crowd. I enjoyed the overall vibe and found the people there to be fun, relaxed and easy-going. Compared to other famous clubs in Tokyo I actually preferred the atmosphere here.
One thing to keep in mind: the top floor is part of the smoking area, so the air quality there can be pretty bad. Also, on the night I visited, the music felt a bit repetitive at times, with multiple DJs across floors playing very similar sets. but that might just have been the lineup that night.
Another downside is the pricing. The entrance fee was ¥3,500 for the night and there was no drink included in that price. For yesterday’s event, the older you are, the more you had to pay for entry. which makes it quite expensive compared to other clubs in the city.
Overall a decent techno club with good sound, a nice crowd and some small downsides. I’d still say it’s worth checking out if you’re into the scene."
