What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
This Shibuya omurice restaurant is praised as a hidden gem for its perfectly fluffy and delicious omurice, especially with premium wagyu toppings. Diners appreciate the intimate atmosphere, the chef's precise preparation, and the modern QR code ordering system. However, some find it overpriced for the portion size and cramped seating, with the egg not always achieving the desired 'volcano' effect.
"I went to a small omurice restaurant in Shibuya, located on the second floor of a quiet building. The place is tiny — just two tables and a counter that fits about five people — but it feels very warm and intimate. I sat at the counter, which was the best decision, because I could watch the chef prepare each dish with incredible precision. Every movement was careful and deliberate, almost like watching a performance.
Ordering was simple and modern: you just scan a QR code, and the menu is available in both Japanese and English, which makes it super easy for visitors. The staff were kind and attentive, and everything ran smoothly despite the small space.
The food itself was outstanding. The soup they served first was light yet full of flavor, and the omurice was absolutely perfect — soft, creamy, and easily the best I’ve ever tasted. You can tell that a lot of care goes into every detail.
It’s a hidden gem in the heart of Shibuya. If you love Japanese comfort food or want to experience a truly special omurice, I can’t recommend this place enough."

"We found this omurice restaurant based on Google reviews. They have excellent reviews and are right in the area we are in tonight. The two workers in there are super friendly. The orders are using the QR code menu. Make it very easy for customers who don’t speak English to place orders. The omurice dishes are so delicious and straightforward. I’m happy to find a place for a fast and yummy dinner."

"To me, this place feels heavily overpriced. The restaurant itself is extremely small and cramped, to the point where it’s hard to enjoy your meal comfortably. The hamburg or steak served with egg and rice tastes very ordinary—nothing special that would justify the premium price.
On top of that, the doneness is cooked higher than expected, so the egg yolk doesn’t flow out like a “volcano” to coat the rice, which takes away one of the simplest pleasures of this kind of dish. Overall, I really couldn’t find a solid reason to pay that much for such a basic meal in such a tight space."
