"Great stopover spot on the way to Akita from Morioka. Came during summer and the water in the river was really cooling. There is a small path with stairs down to the river bank.
Parking available with just 5 mins walk to the red bridge and down to the bank."

"Beautiful walk. We started from the car park second closest (1.5km) from the waterfall and even after trying to work out the signs we returned to our car in 50 minutes.
The closer car park is only 1.1km, so park there. It is only about a 5-7 minute walk between the car parks.
