"Have been wanting to visit ever since I saw the documentary about the kofun tombs on BBC. Dragged my whole family here, and I honestly can't say they enjoyed it. However, I find it interesting to see these unique man-made structures which are particular to this area of Japan. We walked around a few of the tombs from the train station, and they're not easy to spot without the help of the signboards. The explanatory video in the visitor center was quite intresting and informative, which helped in imagining how they actually look like back then.
Overall, enjoyed our short day trip here, and am glad we visited this very unique UNESCO heritage site."
