"Now all I can do is to include an extract from my travel diary. It was winter, lots of snow, freezing cold but we boarded a boat ferry at Wakkanai and then the diary says - Today we were away on the boat ferry to an Islands called Rishiri and Rebun. It was incredibly cold and a great way to spend the morning. Rishiri is an almost perfect volcano rising from the sea. We were lucky to get a good view of the mountain, snow covered and clouds and sun that lasted for about 30 minutes and then the snow, ice, rain and whatever set in. We got to Rebun Island and I literally raced to a store, bought two keys rings, raced back and we were on the boat again.- and then it was back to Wakkanai. I would do this trip again and again."
