What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors often praise Osaka for its vibrant atmosphere, delicious food, and efficient public transport. However, some encounter issues with accessing official information online due to server problems, and school-specific policies can sometimes be a point of contention for parents.
"I know my son is deeply at fault. He is being disciplined for his hair color. There are many activities happening without my knowledge. I am his guardian. My mother used to be listed as his emergency contact. However, now that he is in third grade, I don't remember registering him as an emergency contact. My son went to school today, the 7th, but they didn't allow him to attend class because he hadn't dyed his hair again. I received a call from the teacher around 8:30, asking if they could let him attend class because they would dye it that evening, but they refused.
What I'm wondering is, what about the discipline that doesn't allow a child to attend compulsory education when they want them to? If parents withhold compulsory education, isn't that against the law?
Do teachers have the authority to withhold compulsory education if it's part of their instruction? Do they have the authority to do so?"

"Compared to the past, classrooms are now air-conditioned because teachers and staff feel hot and cold, right?
But why do students still use Japanese-style toilets?
Teachers and staff probably use Western-style toilets.
This is discrimination against students.
What good is it for someone in an educational position to discriminate?"

"The name of the school is Osaka Toin, and the Osaka Prefectural Board of Education seems to be a copy of the Tokyo Metropolitan Board of Education...or so I thought. But the building of the board of education is too old and doesn't imitate Tokyo's. 😅 Also, for some reason, Osaka places more importance on high school than university. They prioritize public high schools, with private schools being used as backup schools...just like Shimane and Saga, a rural prefecture with low populations. Oh, and the name of the university is Osaka Public University, too. 💦
What I liked about the Osaka Board of Education was the banner on the building. Since it was February, there was a banner that stated, "The Northern Territories are Japan's inherent territory." Proper history and education...I'm rooting for Governor Yoshimura Hirofumi! ❣️He's handsome, too. 😛 And he has work coming up. 😛"
