There is a signboard at the entrance from Route 58, so even if you drive to the area, the directions are unclear.
Park in a space that can accommodate about one car on the stone monument on the side of the road and take a stroll.
I walked around the area, relying on the guides for ``Historical Road'' and ``Kunigami-kata Nishi Kaido,'' and finally found a guide version of the area map.
The site of Yamada Castle ruins is currently being excavated, and the passage has become a dead end.
Still, I was able to take a walk while looking at the ruins, and was able to fully enjoy the atmosphere.

Yamada Gusuku flourished as the residence of Gosamaru and his ancestors who were active during the unification period of the Ryukyu Sanzan, and it is thought that it ruled the Yomitan area and served as a preparation for Kitayama (northern area of the main island).
It was built on a Ryukyu limestone hill at an altitude of about 95m, with Gusuku and the former Yamada village ruins located to the west, and the Shukudo (old road) extending roughly through the center towards the former Kuraba village.
The area around the shukudo is a place where you can remember the life of the past, such as the remains of a private residence, the grave of Gosamaru's ancestors, an old well, the remains of a sacred Asagi, and a stone cave.
In addition, the former Kuraba area has been a trading port since the Gusuku era, and Gosamaru is said to have used this port to conduct active trade with foreign countries. In addition, there are ruins of a blacksmith shop, a pig market, a kiln, etc., making this area truly a place steeped in history."

If you go down towards Route 58, it will connect properly, so you don't have to worry too much about it, but since you'll be going down a bumpy road, you won't need to wear clothes that are easy to move around in.
