Reviews Summary

Visitors find Funai Castle Ruins to be a pleasant park with historical remnants, though the ruins themselves are not extensively restored. The surrounding Oita Castle Park is praised for its beauty, especially during cherry blossom season, making it a nice place for a stroll or a peaceful break.

"Indeed it was a ruins, unfortunately that was it and nothing much to say further, free entrance and free parking if you have 15 to 30 minutes to kill by walking along the moat, there were some rebuilding of walls and commercial structural, hopefully it becomes better when there are ready,"

Yong Desmond

"Park is nice, ruins are relatively unremarkable. Ok for a visit as you tour for other parts of the city."

Christian Larsen

"Rather run down and not very much to do, just a fancy parking lot at the moment. Albeit a parking lot in a convenient location.
Most memorable thing i did here was feed some cats. I noticed some poor malnourished kittens (one with an eye infection to boot), so I went to the local conbini to get them some kibble. But I really hope they'll be caught and spayed/neutered, because right now they're rather pitiful...

Would be cool if the old buildings were restored, and maybe allow people to see the inside architecture of these former wonders."
