What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors praise Mount Kabutoyama for its accessible hiking trails and stunning panoramic views of the Osaka Plain and Bay, especially during sunrise. The unique helmet shape is also a noted feature. However, some find the summit view obstructed by trees, and early morning hikers caution about trail lighting and safety.
"We made a short hike to the observation deck located in Kabuto mountain for catching the sunrise at around nearly 6 am from Kwansei Gakuin University. It would be better if you have some buddies going with to feel safe. At some points there was no light so it was so scary for all girls like us 😭 but it was worth. There will be another way just take 30 min from KGU so it is highly recommend to start at 6 am in the winter to see the sunrise."

"The view of Mt. Kabuto from the fields upstream of Incheon is also beautiful. Its shape is quite different from that seen from the sea (south side)."
Ryuji Otaguro
"The hiking trail from the right back of Shinnoji Temple is well maintained and the difference in height is about 100 meters, but it is made up of stairs and the slope is not too steep, so you can climb up in one go. However, the summit is surrounded by trees, so it is very unfortunate that you cannot see the view at all."
