"Our favourite waterfalls in Nikko! Visited mid March so the trail was still super snowy but we did it in trainers took 20 mins. We were the only people there ?!? So strange it was gorgeous highly recommended. You do need a car to drive to it though."

"Enjoyable 90 minute walk from Nikko. There's plenty of free parking if you want to drive, alternatively There's a bus stop on the main road.
We arrived there at midday on a drizzly Saturday. We were the only people there. It was beautiful and really atmospheric, almost spooky.
There are toilets at the car park."

"Its day 3 in Nikko and this is our favorite waterfall so far! We have visited Ryuzu, Kotaki and Yudataki... all are beautiful but this one is amazing! There is a walk through the forest about .5 KM. You will walk along the creek theoufh the forest with many waterfalls coming down. There is also large rockface which they fenced up, danger of falling rock. Be careful where you step as there is monkey poop along the trail. There is parking lot with bathroom (only running water in toilet). Beautiful falls! If you are lucky, you will see rainbow at the bottom of the falls."
