Reviews Summary

Visitors praise Yuppo-no-Sato for its unique and therapeutic footbath experience, highlighting the relaxing atmosphere and the novelty of the stone paths and central geyser. The on-site cafe is a convenient addition. Some guests note that certain areas can be very hot and that signage is exclusively in Japanese, requiring a bit of navigation.

"It’s a public foot onsen with a recently opened cafe! So you can enjoy drinks and snacks while soaking your worries away.

When you enter the building you take your shoes off and store them in a free locker. Then you go downstairs and here you pay a 300¥ onsen usage fee. You can also order drinks and snacks from the same location. There is a small locker room for your bags and one bathroom for women and one bathroom for men.

The left side of the onsen is the hot side and the further you go the hotter it gets. The right side is warm. Both sides have different stones to step on for balance, strength and acupuncture.

You can bring your own towel but if you forget they offer one for purchase."

"♨️ This is a foot only public hot-spring for people to visit. An entrance fee was required! (I forgor the amount 🫠) ♨️

At the entrance you are required to take off your shoes. There are lockers after you pay the fees, for boys and girls to store your items before entering the foot hot-spring.

The hot-spring is split into two sides, one side apparently more slippery than the other, I didn’t feel the difference though.

You can sit or walk in the hot-spring covered paths with different types of stones embedded on the paths. It is said that by having your foot massaged and hot-springed, you can have better health!

While you are sitting, you can look out for the central geyser that blasts three burst of hot spring water between the two walkable hot-springs. The blasts occur every :05 minute. Which means 12:05, 12:15, etc,.

Again there are goods of onsen musume, 温泉むすめ. Currently, in February 2025, there is a towel (400円) and an acrylic stand(1200円) of Shiobara Yaya, 塩原八弥. Both are themed around the foot hot-spring.

There is an also a 1:1(i think) size cardboard cut out of Shiobara Yaya, 塩原八弥 at where you put your shoes. Please take many photos with her 🙏.

If you are interested in visiting, either bring a towel, or buy one because your foot will be very cold when leaving the hot-spring! 😂

Very recommend 👍

"¥300 yen. Basically empty when I went on a Tuesday. It is beautiful but some parts of the Onsen was REALLY REALLY hot. Parts of the facilities definitely shows its age but lobby / top floor looked brand new."
