Reviews Summary

Akabaka Beach is lauded for its stunning natural beauty, crystal-clear waters, and fine sands, offering a serene, 'private beach' feel, especially during low tide and early mornings. However, some visitors have encountered issues with aggressive parking fee collection and noted the lack of amenities.

"Really beautiful, natural (non-comercial) beach with natural shades. We were here beginning of July, came around noon, so it was a low tide time and this one was the only beach that wasn’t covered in mud and wet rocks due to the withdrawal of the ocean."

Aleksandra Vukovic

"Okinawa is full of friendly people. But not here! We were looking for a beach in the area to snorkel and wandered to this beach. I wanted to check out the suitability of the beach since it was during low tide period. It was a dead end road and once I got off the car I was welcomed by the?owner asking for money. I explained I want to check out the beach first and he started yelling and shouting. Of course I didn’t stay. There was a sign saying prohibit U- turn ?in a dead end road……They want your money only, not you. Bad reflection on Okinawa."

KS Leung

"Our favourite beach without any public amenities. We drove down in the late afternoon and parked our car and walked into a paradise. Crystal clear water, fine sands, no rough corals and stone, no seaweed and no other signs of life just us. There was an unmanned hut/ house with a grave stone next to it.

We saw the other side of the beach but just stayed and swim a little in the warm water and wrote our name on the sand. One thing i did notice is red ants around the rocks and the sand area closer to the rock."
